What the runners said...
First off, I want to thank you and your entire race organizing crew and volunteers for an amazing weekend at Dirty Girls!! Stephan and I had a wonderful time running and hanging out. I can see that you are fine-tuning this race and rest assured that your efforts and work didn't go unnoticed. The course was the best marked trail I've ever run on. Kudos to Henri & co.!! The race kit and goodies were even more generous this year! Thanks for the personal touch and big thanks to the sponsors!
I am already looking forward to next year's event!
Thanks a lot for your work and dedication!
Cheers, Kinga & Stephan
Thanks for the wonderful race you & the volunteers put together. Everything was perfect, even the rain was not a big issue, It was my first Dirty Girls race & for sure will not be my last one. Thanks again. Isy
I wanted to thank you for putting on the event this weekend, it was awesome! The organization was really great and the volunteers and other runners were wonderful. I will definitely be back and am looking forward to it. Robert
What can I say...you are one awesome RD!! You think of every detail and make the day appear seamless...
It is a great course and 10k loops are the perfect psychological distance! Hope you are enjoying a well deserved rest! Adi
Thanks for a great race this weekend! I had a fantatstic time although my feet are still a little made at me. The course was enjoyable and I actually liked the weather. I hope to come again next year. Mark
Once again you put on a great race and I just wanted to say thanks again. My wife and kids got a kick from the shirt and the gitch. You always make it interesting. Brian
I thoroughly enjoyed your race and was very impressed with the organization that went into the event. I did not expect to run 50k, since my training has been a joke for the last 5 weeks. I expect it was the wonderful trails that kept me going. I wanted to stay longer after the 6 hour race was over, but my legs informed me that we had to leave early to "go lie down!" Congratulations on an incredible race! Pierre
When does sign up for 2009 start.....?
Simon
You and Henri put on a world class race. I can only imagine how tired you both were on Sunday morning. It was excellent. I was frightened of tripping before running, and spent the first 4 running very slowly, but.......ran quickly for the lat 2.5km with Henri telling me that it was a short 2.5. Excellent course. I did not trip once. Yippy...I am excited to see results up. I can not imagine running 12 or 24 hours. wow Diane,
Excellent job Diane, amazing organization, an inspiration for Pierre and I. Lee Anne
Thanks for emailing me the shoe certificate. I was very happy to hear that I won a pair of shoes...it was frosting on an already amazing race. The course was scenic and rugged (I loved the trails right after the 7.5km monster-hill especially!). The volunteers were very friendly and helpful. And overall, it was a wonderful experience for my first 12 hour ultra. Thanks for all your hard work in organizing and directing it. Lisa

There's one reason I do this race and that reason was felt so strongly throughout the entire weekend:
I BELIEVE IN RUNNING.
Whether you did 6, 12 or 24 hours, you pursued something you believed in. For me, I find myself choking back the tears watching runners cross the finish line. What I see is the will power and perseverance that it takes to reach your goals. I see our role (volunteers and organizers) as that of providing the platform and the support to help you meet those goals.
At the dirty girls race, there are no dnfs. Every lap is a victory lap. Congratulations! And from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for doing the dirty girls in 08!
Now tell me your stories, tell me about your gitch, and share your pictures here. (heydiane@dirtyrunnerproductions.com)
